Fourth OBE – 7th Jan 16 – The Caretaker Guide with Knowledge of Physics

OBE 4

After returning I set my intention to roll back out again. This time I rolled-out for a fourth time.  I immediately set my intention to find a spirit guide to talk to. I then shifted to a scene where I was floating along following a man wearing a brown caretaker’s coat. He was a good 40 feet in front of me. I got the impression he didn’t want me to come any closer. I was anchored at a distance just following him along the street. I then followed him through some gates into what appeared to be an industrial setting. The scene was far from spiritual and appeared just like a routine earthly place.

I asked him for some knowledge.

He gave me a small piece of information that I could verify later related to the construction of the physical universe and the nature of energy on the physical plain.

He said energy could be both hot and cold at exactly the same time and space.  These initial trips out didn’t last very long. I don’t know if it was my thought to checkup on the information that propelled me back or something else.

Everything faded once again and I returned back to my body. In the morning I did a Google search for “What can be both hot and cold at the same time” and came across a quantum physics article that described exactly that. It was part of a new experiment using a special kind of chip that proved these results. Article here. 

Was this pure coincidence. Had I somehow sub-consciously read it somewhere. I hadn’t read any quantum physics articles as far as I’m aware. My intention was for knowledge, something I didn’t already know to help me validate whether these trips out are pure fantasy or  something much deeper, have I found my answer?

Oddly enough when searching for a Caretaker image to use for this post, who should I come across but Dr. Who wearing a brown caretaker coat. The master of T.V time-travel and navigating the physical quantum universe.  It’s worth noting that I don’t watch Dr. Who and consciously at least wasn’t aware of that episode or series. I haven’t watched Dr. Who since Matt Smith played him. It’s interesting that a potential guide would manifest as the Caretaker.

Technique used

Two nights previously I had come across the website www.obe4u.com from the resources at the back of “Invistas of Infinity”, a fascinating book by Jürgen Ziewe about his vivid lucid dreaming and OBE experiences.
I had been attempting them since Novemeber 15 without much success.

My first two attempts on Sunday the 5th and Monday the 6th of January 2016 yielded no results. I kept waking up with the intention to separate but found myself too awake and aware. I quickly fell back to sleep. I also had too many disturbances from my dog, Betsy who kept barking.

Everything changed on the morning of the 7th of January 2016. The previous evening I had read the free ebook from obe4u.com again. The instructions stated that the practitioner should set their alarm for six hours after going to bed. When the alarm sounds, go to the bathroom to drink some water and set the intention to wake up in the next cycle of awakening. Once awakened, one should then attempt to leave their body with aggressive intent. If that doesn’t work, cycle through one of the many separation techniques.

Before going to bed I had in-fact set the intention to wakeup but chose 5 hours, I didn’t use an alarm clock and trusted I would wake up. As you have to have an action plan, I set my action to go straight to the mirror in the hallway and then fly around the Earth. I also set my intention to awake again should I fall asleep or return to my body. That way I could try again.

After waking up five hours later, I did in fact go to the bathroom to drink some water but decided to go the toilet in case a full bladder hindered the experience.

I then set my intention on awakening again to enter the phase and separate from my body.
I then went straight back to bed and swiftly fell back to sleep.

OBE 3

After returning I set my intention to roll back out again. This time I rolled-out again and suddenly appeared in a street with many houses littered with Christmas lights. It was nighttime and most people were asleep. I noticed a white van, which gave me a bad feeling. I felt the occupants were burglars looking for a place to rob. For anybody reading this thinking it’s just a dream, I had full waking consciousness, I was more alive than you can imagine and thinking exactly as I do when fully awake. I had full freewill to do what I wanted, it wasn’t a vague dream state but as real as the physical world we live in during the day.

I followed them by floating along. They didn’t notice me at all. They got out and made their way to a house. A normal semi; two-up, two-down family home.

I carried on floating, observing them. I then had a thought to see their energy. After a few seconds I could suddenly see these energy streamers going into and out of them, much like the film Donnie Darko where you can see where people’s intentions are focused by these floating streamers. Their energies were focused on a house. They were trying to break in by climbing up into an upstairs window. I then had a strange idea to blow my energy into their streamers. This caused them to keep falling over or fall down. It was obviously having an affect on stopping them. The scene then faded and I returned back to my body.

What was this place? It seemed exactly like the physical world. There was nothing dreamy about the experience.

OBE 2

After returning to my body after experiencing my first ever OBE, I was able to quickly roll out again. I instantly set my intention to find my Dog, Betsy who normally sleeps by the side of our bed.

I instantly found my dog. She immediately sensed me and started playing with me trying to catch me with her paw. I got the feeling she knew who I was. I must have appeared like a ball of light due to the way she was trying to catch and play with me. I was using my hand to play with her paw. She was following all my movements. It was wonderful. I don’t know if that was a lucid-dream thought-form Betsy or if she really did sense and play with me in the current consensus reality.

After a while the scene in my bedroom started to shift. Betsy was still there, however the scene started to shift through alternate realities. The ‘moment’ was the same but the version of reality shifted ever so slightly. The room changed in subtle ways and my Dog shifted into different small dog breeds right in front of me. The last breed I remembered was a Black and White dog. I couldn’t place the breed. Everything faded once more and I found myself back in my body.

Hadleigh Castle – Small OBE

I decided to follow the exact same procedure as last night which yielded a small OBE.  I’m trying to find a routine that induces them constantly. Then I can start to work on the quality of the experiences after that.

Around 5pm I retreated to the garden studio where I meditated for approx. 50 minutes.

My Meditation was made up of these steps:

1. I did a visualization exercise, mentally drawing a red London bus with my mind and walking around it.
(As I start this quest I’m literally third-eye blind. Totally blank, with no imagery. I can sense but not see. I’m hoping this technique will help train my brain to relearn this skill.)

2.  I did five minutes Spinal Breathing.
3. I did 40 minutes doing a deep I’AM meditation.

Before bed

I made a very firm commitment and intention (by being excited and enthusiastic) to wakeup  in 4 hours (I also set my new vibration alarm clock for 3am). I mentally set a goal that when I exit,  to visit Hadleigh Castle back in 1360. I had visited there during the day with my family. The site is mainly a ruin now as the building materials were sold on back in the 1500s. I wanted to see if I could induce an OBE back to its glory days.
The idea was sparked after seeing a picture of the former castle on a tourist board at the Salvation Army site.

My alarm goes off

My alarm went off at 3am. I went to bathroom as duty calls and had a drink of water. I then moved to the spare bedroom and reaffirmed my commitment to wake up after each natural sleep cycle and enter into the OBE phase. I set my goal / intention to visit Hadleigh Castle in 1360. I then did a visualizing exercise to prep my astral body by visualizing my kitchen sink and doing the dishes for a bit to help shift my awareness elsewhere (A tip I acquired at a recent Todd Acamesis workshop)

My steps:

1. I set a strong enthusiastic intention to wake after each natural sleep cycle and not move. I would then cycle through various exercises pretending to be moving my astral limbs with my mind. My movement choices were: rubbing my hands together for 5 seconds in front of my face, swimming my arms and wiggling my arms up and down. I would repeat these steps 4 times.

2. I set the strong intention to go to Hadleigh Castle in 1360.

3. I then moved back to my original bedroom and put my ear plugs in and my eye mask back on.

Small OBE Again

I got back into bed using my previous successful attempts sleeping position. I position myself on my left side looking at the wall in a fetal position. My hands clasped near my face. Why this works, I have no idea but it’s the most successful for me. After falling asleep, a short time later I awoke. I started cycling through the phantom limb movements as I did yesterday by pretending to rub my hands together in front of my face. Pretty much straight away I felt very strong vibrations rolling through my body with the high pitched sound in my ears.

I immediately detached from my physical body and rose up slightly. I then made the strong affirmation “Take me to Hadleigh Castle in 1360, Now!” With that I felt a very strong sense of movement, at this point everything was still very dark and vague. As I shot further up, the only thing I could see within the darkness was the bed and my body parked in the position I had left it with a light blue glow around it.  I then started to move very fast and instantly arrived at Hadleigh Castle.

However, there was a small problem, it wasn’t the solid bricks and mortar Hadleigh castle. I was floating outside the walls of a 3D version of the illustration shown above and pictured on a tourist board at the site. I felt a pang of disappointment that my intention must have somehow been vague. I had to laugh at myself for the joke being played on me by either my subconscious or the universe.

I tried several techniques to stabilize the experience and see the castle in it’s once physical state. My awareness did shift and for a moment I did get a glimpse of the actual structure but before I could maintain the experience I was shot straight back into my body.

Afterwards I tried several techniques to detach again by rubbing my astral hands together but nothing seemed to work. I just remained in the glorious light feeling that cocooned me and eventually feel back to sleep.

I did wake again after having a very vivid dream where I was giving a talk to extended family members about my experiences and how some people can end up experiencing dual conscious awareness. Eddy, a very strong no-nonsense character in real life and extended family member was present, he once spoke to me (In the physical) about his own interest in opening his third eye from an inspirational book he had read.

In the dream state he was showing me Japanese herbs that apparently helped the process. Unfortunately for me I couldn’t read the Japanese symbols. I have completely forgotten them now. Perhaps a confirmation from my unconscious that my journeys are starting to have a much deeper impact on my awareness.

Quick OBE to the Void and Back

It’s been a while since my last vivid OBE where I  experienced the vivid Italian looking consensus reality.  I’m still very much in the learning stages.  I need to find one technique, ritual or state of mind that constantly works.

My current routine has been disrupted this week with the start of the Easter half term and having my family around. I normally meditate in the early evenings in my garden studio.

I decided to retreat to bed early and meditate for an hour. I stuck in my ear plugs and put on my eye mask to block out any disturbances. The meditation was good. I practiced a technique called Spinal Breathing for 5 minutes which I had read about in Multidimensional Man by Jürgen Ziewe. With this in mind, I downloaded  Spinal Breathing and Deep Meditation by Yogani about a month ago to learn these techniques for myself. The key here is to meditate at least twice a day and don’t get hung up on  experiences as the meditation to quieten the mind is the goal. Yogani explains that experiences spring from this in time.

My steps:

My movement choices were: rubbing my hands together for 5 seconds in front of my face, swimming my arms and wiggling my arms up and down. I would repeat these steps 4 times.

2. I set the strong intention to go to the mirror once out-of-body and then find Dean.

3. I then moved back to my original bedroom and put my ear plugs in and my eye mask back on.

Small OBE

From this point on I had lots of intense almost vivid dreams. In one dream I was in a corporate office work environment. I noticed my colleagues were wearing their pajamas. I laughed at them and said “Why are you wearing your pajamas?”. They quipped back that it was a charity wearing pajamas day. I said “It looks like you’re Lucid Dreaming!” Now, with that I should have been catapulted into full waking consciousness but for some reason I didn’t. It was a major dream sign to exit.

Anyhow, all was not lost as a little time later I woke up for real. I was lying on my left side with my hands clasped together, almost as if in prayer under my face. I felt very much awake and felt disappointment that I hadn’t entered the OBE state as I had set my intention to exit straight after awakening. With no time to loose I start cycling through my astral moving of limbs techniques. The first one I tried was the rubbing of hands. Immediately, I started to feel the strong vibrations shooting up and down my body with the high pitched sound in my ears.

Without hesitation I said “Move to Mirror, Now!” I instantly felt my body start rising up and then movement away from my bedroom. At this point I still had my eye closed, I worried if I opened them too soon, I might open my physical eyes as I had done before.

After a good amount of floating movement, I assumed I was now at my hallway mirror. I opened my eyes expecting to see the mirror but instead it was still very dark. I was hovering in some kind of void. I said “Clarity Now!”, “Awareness Now!” but these did nothing to improve the situation. I then started to fall very fast in the darkness. I eventually hit a floor very gracefully. My view changed from darkness to lots of sky-blue shapes drifting past my inner vision. Shapes that didn’t make much sense to me.

Eventually my OBE state started to fade and felt the draw back to my body. I remained as still I could hoping to induce another trip out. I could still feel the subtle vibrations and ringing in my ears. I tried some firm affirmations “Move to the Kitchen Now!” but to no avail. I also tried to visualize my awareness in the kitchen too. After a while I decided to fall back to sleep and try another attempt.

By the morning I only had the one small OBE but I had at least six vivid dreams with high quality interactions with dream figures.  I have recorded these in my personal note book as I want to focus on real OBEs for this blog .

OBE 1

I suddenly woke up and felt very relaxed but was conscious that I had physically moved and was now on my side. My first thought was it’s probably not worth trying to separate, as you’re not meant to move a muscle. However, I remembered reading the night before to not miss any opportunity. I decided to try rubbing my astral body hands together; I immediately started to feel the tingling sensation and decided to just will myself to roll out of my body and then levitate. To my surprise, with eyes still closed I started to feel the sensation of floating higher and higher. I then remembered my intent to go straight to the mirror. With that, I pretty much instantly appeared at the mirror; everything was very vague and not very clear at this point.
I then decided without much thought to leap straight into the mirror. I instantly landed in my garden; although it looked similar it was very different too. At this point everything was still very dark and vague. I then remembered to start rubbing my hands together and to stroke the grass to help bring everything into vivid focus.

I could now see long blades of grass everywhere and oddly enough scattered magazines. For some reason I had no interest in looking at them and decided I needed to do something more exciting.
I then willed myself to take off and fly. I arose very quickly. At this point, whilst in the air I started to feel every part of my body to check my form. Everything seemed to be the same, if not more silky and smooth like an infant’s younger skin. Everything faded and I then returned back to my body.

Hello Astral!

Welcome to my personal journal of OBE and Lucid dreaming experiences. Although they are different terms, I very much see them as they same thing, simply labels for the same inner experience of the mind and the greater consciousness. I chose the out-of-body term as all my experiences so far have had the motion of my body floating away from my physical body.

Even in my  dreams where I have become fully conscious and immediately leave that dream environment,  I experience a strong floating away of my body before appearing in another location.

The Lucid Dreaming term is probably a much safer label for people to deal with. You have to open your mind a little bit more to accept that our consciousness can perhaps really leave the body and travel into very solid consensus realities with stable personalities and structures; far beyond the fragmented experiences of dreams.

As I venture forward on this journey I seek to understand the differences and report them back. Please bear with me on my inaugural adventure as I seek the answers for myself.

Why have I created this blog

I have created this blog as a tool to encourage my own sub-conscious to really get behind my desire to learn and experience these wonderful voyages of the mind and beyond.

I also hope in some small way that this also inspires others to dip their toe into this subject and record their own experiences.

I give thanks to the people who have  inspired me with their lectures, books and videos.

My Journey really started after attending the IMOA Conference in Southend-on-Sea back in Nov 15, where Todd Acamesis gave a small lecture on his personal experiences. This ignited a passion in me to look deeper and start practicing for myself.

Researching Todd led me onto other teachers listed below.

The wonderful thing about having an OBE is that it opens up the inner teachers within all of us. We can truly seek and look for the answers ourselves. Out of all the spiritual practices I have looked into during my life, this has been the biggest enabler to give me a good kick up the spiritual backside and DO SPIRITUAL rather than READ SPIRITUAL.
